About Joanna Powell Colbert, Owner

I’ve been a web aficionado since the “olden days” of 1993 when I first discovered email. I created my first web sites in 1997, easily making the transition to the web from my twenty years of experience in graphic design for print.

I’m also an illustrator and fine artist. I have marketed my artwork in print publications for 20 years and on the internet for 8 years. Additionally, I have published essays on mythology and nature spirituality that are popular in the alternative press.

I’m part of a wide-ranging network of web design and development professionals, with memberships in the

• HTML Writers Guild / International Webmasters Association
• National Association of Photoshop Professionals
• Graphic Artists Guild
• as well as many online discussion lists and critique groups.

I enjoy designing web sites for Cultural Creatives in a collaborative process. I especially like working with SOHO (small office/home office) businesses and artists, writers and musicians. I live and work on a small island near Bellingham, Washington with my family, in a straw bale house that my husband and I built.
